Human Resource Manager

Material Handling Systems, Inc.

This is a Full-time position in Louisville, KY posted May 16, 2021.

JOB SUMMARY:

Success in this role will require influential partnership with middle management to execute the HR strategies that foster organizational and people effectiveness. The individual in this role must understand business priorities and translate them into an HR agenda that supports the business as it grows rapidly. Serving as a liaison between the business and the central corporate teams to assess the human resources needs in areas such as performance management, employee relations, career development and leadership development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Management of multiple HR related objectives simultaneously, requiring an energetic, forward thinking individual with high, unwavering ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
  • Provide generalist HR partnership to various client groups
  • Assist and guide business leaders, and align human resources solutions with business needs
  • Provides regular performance management guidance to leaders 
  • Identifies and conducts training needs for business units
  • Executes roll out of Company HR initiatives to client groups
  • Success in driving effective employee relations, retention and reward programs
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance
  • Develops and executes strategies around talent development and retention in addition to Safety, Performance Management, and Coaching/Counseling
  • Coordinates Performance Review Program, Succession Planning, & Salary Administration
  • Provide regular updates on HR programs, initiatives, objectives through presentations, written Updates, and other methods
  • Builds strong relationships with all levels in the organization
  • Respond to inquiries regarding HR plans, programs & policies.
  • Educate managers and employees on policies and procedures. Assist in developing and implementing new policies and procedures. Knowledge of and oversees all Federal, State and Local laws regarding human resources.
  • Investigate and resolve employee issues and recommend resolutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent post-secondary degree
  • 3 years of experience in HR role
  • Prior smaller, growing company HR experience (preferred)
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
  • Travel may be required (up to 30%)
