Network Automation Team Lead / Product Owner


This is a Full-time position in Lexington, KY posted May 17, 2021.

Network Automation Team Lead / Product Owner

What You’ll Do:
Team Lead and Scrum Product Owner for Network Automation / Provisioning / Audit / Upgrade solutions such as: Itential, NodeRed, and Ansible.

Owns the development team backlog and roadmap, continuously prioritizing, updating, and refining it Leads in stakeholder engagement, identifying and clarifying development opportunities and use cases while serving as a vocal representative of the customer(s) Partners with Scrum Master to maintain and promote an agile framework Partners with management to ensure that the product aligns with company vision.

Establishes reporting to show project value Product Champion internally Team Advocate externally Analyzes requirements to meet demand and performance of products, systems and/or data.

May perform engineering design evaluations including cost-effective utilization of design engineering resources May design, develop, test, and implement all components, equipment, and software within the functional area of the organization.

Provides technical leadership and direction in area of expertise for engineering staff.

Enhances operations and maintain reliability of systems.

May perform administrative work relating to projects and assignments.

Promotes positive change in the company’s business strategy through achievement of customer specific objectives and technological innovation of practical and profitable nature.

Works on problems of diverse scope.

Exercise full understanding of practices, policies, and procedures.

Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work.

Do You Have?

Ability to cast a vision for and execute on team skill-development Ability to take in a wide range of priority inputs and distill for themselves and their team Understanding of Agile Methodologies (primarily Scrum and Kanban) Experience working with customers across all business levels, managing stakeholder expectations Thorough/proactive communicator, active listener, strong presenter, creative problem solver Goal-driven strategic thinker with strong organizational skills Experience establishing project roadmaps in an agile framework and translating that roadmap into a hierarchy of issues (epics, features, stories, etc.) Experience narrowing to MVP deliverables with expanded feature set opportunities in mind Self-director with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment In depth knowledge of accepted engineering practices.

Computer software knowledge to include Microsoft Office, Custom Planning Tools and Databases.

Good analytical skills: the ability to prioritize projects; good oral and written communication skills; and good interpersonal skills.

Good project management skills.

Education and Experience:
College degree and 3-5 years’ experience or 7 years equivalent related Engineering/Technical experience or a combination of education and related Engineering/Technical experience required.

Network/Server Automation platform experience (Itential, Ansible, NodeRed, etc.) Javascripting/Python/JSON/Node.js experience
Even Better:
In depth understanding of telecommunications industry; in depth knowledge of one or more engineering disciplines and vendor equipment.

Ability to stay current with the economic and technological developments in the industry.

Minimum Requirements:
