– Engineering DepartmentWeekly Hours: 40Shift: 2nd Status: Full TimeJob Summary: Answers maintenance requests obtained by direct communicating with hospital staff.

Does routine maintenance according to schedule preventive maintenance program.

Assigned Area; Main Hospital 1st Floor, P.T., Radiology, ER, Administration, Registration, Medical Records, 1st Floor Medical Pavilion.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual’s job.

He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.1.

Responds to general maintenance calls according to priority.

Does routine visual department inspections and repairs as needed.

Assist other trades on special jobs/projects.2.

Repairs hospital beds as needed.3.

Performs minor plumbing repairs (clogged drains, leaky faucets, etc.) and follow-up.4.

Performs minor electrical repairs (ballast, light switches, receptacles, etc.) and follow-up repairs.5.

Replaces ceiling tiles and other cosmetic repairs as needed such as (torn wall covering).6.

Performs duties with a minimum of supervision, exhibits innovation and good judgement as well as thorough knowledge of all aspects of maintenance duties.7.

Handles stressful verbal confrontation from customers in a professional manner.8.

Performs routine and preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failure, including fire extinguishers and medical gas panels.

Conducts patient room inspections.9.

Completes paperwork thoroughly.10.
